Please note: If you are purchasing memberships for more than one person, please use a unique email address for each individual. Ballots for our annual Board of Directors and Honors & Awards elections are sent to each individual member email address. Each email address constitutes one vote.
If you have opted out from receiving our emails, you will not receive the ballots for our annual Board of Directors and Honors & Awards elections. You may opt back in by joining our mailing list here. You will receive an email asking you to confirm this.
Artist Memberships are ONLY available for Artists, Musicians and Songwriters and exist at our "starving artist" rate.
Industry Memberships are ONLY available for professionals who work in the music industry.
Donor Memberships are for music fans or others who want to support the Association.
If you are both an artist and an industry professional, you must join at the Industry rate to be listed as both.
Please note: All memberships are reviewed. If you do not join with the appropriate level of membership, a staff member will reach out to you to correct your membership level.

If the category you have chosen does not correlate with the level of membership you have purchased, a staff member will reach out to you to correct your Membership Category. Artist Memberships can only choose "Artist/Musician/Songwriter" as their category. Donor Memberships can only choose "Donor" as their category. If you are both an artist and an industry professional, you must join at the Industry rate to choose "Artist/Musician/Songwriter" and Industry categories.

All members must use a unique Email 1 address. There are no exceptions.
IMPORTANT: The email listed in Email 1 is the default email that is listed in the Member Directory. You can remove Email 1 from being listed in the directory after you have completed the membership application. To change the email address listed in the directory, 1) Login at AmericanaMusic.org/Login, 2) Select Member Directory in the dropdown menu, 3) Click on "[Update my profile listed on the membership directory]" and 4) Remove or replace what is written in the Email field. If you do not follow these steps, Email 1 will be visible to all members within the Member Directory.
Please note: Email 1 is the address that will receive emails regarding the status, renewal and expiration of your membership. Email 1, Email 2 and Email 3 will all receive emails regarding member benefits, voting ballots, etc.
Please note: Phone numbers will not be listed in the Membership Directory. They are only for internal use by the Americana Music Association staff.
